New York, New York!

Shelly, Lindsey, and I are headed to New York next Friday! Who's excited, I can't wait! Since Shelly is the New York connoisseur, she has everything planned out for us. Thanks Shelly! She has mentioned a ton of things we have to see like Times Square, Central Park, FAO Schwartz, Ground Zero, Everything SEX AND THE CITY, Empire State Building, and sooo much more. I also plan on stopping at every doggie boutique I find =) I have to shop for Callie you know. And the best part of all, drum roll please....

I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT SEEING LEGALLY BLONDE! I followed the reality show Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search for Elle Woods. Bailey was chosen for the role of Elle Woods. I just loved Bailey, she is the best! It's awesome that I get to see her perform in person.

OMIGOD YOU GUYS! WE ARE GOING TO NEW YORK!

Is It 2012 Yet?

Well it's official the Olympics are over, sniff sniff. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them. I know some of you (Moo) are glad, because you're so tired of hearing and reading about it =) You'll get a two year break until the winter Olympics, then it's Game On!

I have been looking for my favorite commerical from the Olympics and I finally found it! I just love this commercial and I wanted y'all to see it. Enjoy!

Nastia was Robbed!

I have been out of town without internet and dying to blog about this! OK...Nastia Liukin was totally robbed! Did you see the uneven bar competition? Nastia and He Kexin (the supposed 16 year old from China, right.) both scored 16.725 which tied them for first. This called for a tiebreaker, which was a bunch of crap! In this procedure there are six judges who judge each competitor on a scale of 1-10. When all six scores are finalised, the highest and lowest are eliminated and the remaining four are averaged. The first tiebreaking procedure is determined by the execution score. Since Liukin and Kexin tied with a score of 9.025, the second tiebreak was required to determine a winner. In this event, the lowest score given to each competitor is dropped. When the next lowest scores are deducted, the following happens to the averages. Nastia Liukin 9.033 He Kexin 9.066
Which means Nastia receives the silver medal.

Nastia clearly had the better performance! These judges have no idea what they are doing! Even the announcers were stunned! I can't get over it, she deserved the gold medal. It's very disappointing.

Also!! I just discovered that you can have alerts sent to your phone and email when events you are interested in watching are about to come on! Why did I not find this sooner, there are only 2 days left!

I Heart the Olympics!

I know some yall think I'm obsessed, but how can you not watch the Olympics?! I love watching the swimming, gymnastics, & diving. I want to watch the synchronized swimming, but it doesn't start until Monday.
The girls should be so proud of their silver medal. They did a great job! I feel sorry for Alicia Sacramone. You could tell how upset she was, I think she was in shock. I hope she doesn't think they didn't get the gold because of her. Everyone did their best, that's all that matters =)
Can you believe Michael Phelps! He is doing awesome! It gives me anxiety just watching him!
GO MICHAEL!

Treasures from the Sea

I going back to Galveston this Saturday. I wanted yall to see what I found the last time I was there. Keep in mind I have been going to Galveston for 25 years and I have never found a whole sand dollar or shark's teeth before. I am on a mission now to see what else I can find. Hopefully I will run across more great finds while I am there next week =)

Callie's First Camping Trip

Callie went on her first camping trip this weekend! She absolutely loved it! We took the barge out on Saturday, so she got to wear her very stylish life jacket =)
We took Bleu of course, he loves the water. He swam around all day!

We were trying to get Maddie (Cameron & Corliss's Lab) to jump. Callie wanted in so bad, which shocked me! She is a miniature Dachshund, they don't like to swim! So Corliss was trying to take a picture, she didn't realize I had it on video. She got Callie jumping in the water on video. Now I know I overreacted, and yes Callie was fine, it just caught me WAY off guard. So do not think she was in trouble, she was fine. Also, it looks like I put her in, but I didn't. I was trying to grab her and she jumped! Shocking.

This is Callie swimming back to the barge. Such a big girl!

They had a great time. All the dogs were exhausted after their big day of swimming at the lake.

Here are some more great pics from the weekend.
